In 1983, 24-year-old Patricia Clarke had a strong intuition that her unborn child would be large. Coming from a family with a history of big babies, she wasn’t entirely surprised when Kevin Robert Clark was born weighing over 16 pounds, making him the largest infant ever born at Community Memorial Hospital and possibly in all of New Jersey at the time.
Despite his size, Kevin was perfectly healthy, although he couldn’t fit into a standard-sized cot and needed specially made baby clothes. His remarkable birth made him a national sensation, leading to appearances on shows like “Saturday Night Live” and “Good Morning America.”
Kevin’s journey to prominence didn’t end there. By the time he was 12 years old, he stood at 5 feet 7 inches tall, and by junior high, he had shot up to 6 feet 5 inches. His growth spurt continued, and today, at 40 years old, he stands at an impressive 6 feet 9 inches tall.
Kevin has embraced his towering height, often making light-hearted jokes about his stature when people inquire about his height or ask if he plays basketball. Despite the challenges of being exceptionally tall, Kevin navigates life with his 6-foot-tall wife and Great Dane by his side, having served as a soldier in the past. His remarkable story continues to captivate audiences, showcasing the extraordinary journey of a man who stands head and shoulders above the rest.
