In a tearful Instagram post, actress and activist Alyssa Milano accused Elon Musk, the billionaire founder of Tesla and SpaceX, of ruining her life.
Milano, known for her roles in TV shows like “Charmed” and her outspoken political activism, revealed that she had invested heavily in Tesla stock in hopes of supporting clean energy and fighting climate change.
However, she claims that Musk’s recent controversial statements and actions have caused the stock to plummet, leaving her with massive financial losses.
“I trusted Elon Musk, I really did,” Milano sobbed in the Instagram video. “But now he’s gone and ruined everything. He’s making crude jokes on Twitter, sending rockets into space, and just generally being a complete and utter disaster for my portfolio.”
Milano went on to blame Musk for her recent career setbacks, citing a lack of roles and job offers since the stock market downturn. “I used to be America’s sweetheart, but now nobody wants to work with me because of Elon Musk,” she lamented.
Some have criticized Milano’s comments, pointing out that investing in the stock market comes with inherent risks and that Musk’s actions should not be the sole factor in financial decisions.
Others have suggested that Milano’s public breakdown may be a publicity stunt or an attempt to shift blame for her own financial decisions.
In response to the backlash, Milano has doubled down on her accusations, even going so far as to call for a boycott of all Tesla products.
“We need to send a message to Elon Musk that he can’t just ruin people’s lives and get away with it,” she declared in a follow-up Instagram post.
Meanwhile, Musk has yet to respond to Milano’s accusations, as he is likely too busy launching rockets, designing electric cars, and developing the future of human civilization on Mars.
