When serving your Best Ever Quiche, consider the time of day and the occasion. For a brunch, a quiche is often accompanied by a light, fresh salad with a bright vinaigrette to cut through the richness of the egg and cream.

If you’re enjoying the quiche later in the day, a side of roasted vegetables or a hearty soup can complement it perfectly. A fruit salad can add a sweet and refreshing note. Quiche can be served hot or cold, making it an excellent option for picnics or buffet-style gatherings as well.

Best Ever Quiche Recipe:

Ingredients:
– 1 homemade or store-bought pie crust
– 6 large eggs
– 1 cup heavy cream
– 1 cup whole milk
– 1 cup grated cheese (such as Gruyère, cheddar, or a mix of your favorites)
– 6 strips of cooked bacon, crumbled (optional)
– 1/2 cup diced ham (optional)
– 1/2 cup sautéed spinach (water squeezed out)
– 1/2 cup diced onion, caramelized
– Salt and pepper, to taste
– A pinch of nutmeg

Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Roll out the pie crust and gently press it into a 9-inch quiche pan or pie dish. Trim any excess dough from the edges and prick the bottom of the crust with a fork to prevent air bubbles.
2. Pre-bake the crust for 8 minutes, then remove from the oven. This step is known as “blind baking” and helps avoid a soggy crust.
3. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, cream, milk, salt, pepper, and nutmeg until well combined. Stir in the cheese, along with any additional fillings you desire, such as the bacon, ham, spinach, and caramelized onion.
4. Pour the egg mixture into the pre-baked crust. Place the quiche in the oven and bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the quiche is set in the center and the top is lightly golden.
5. Remove the quiche from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Slice and serve warm, or allow to cool completely if you prefer to serve your quiche at room temperature.
